Shady Dell Stables

We will host your birthday party, scouting event, or other groups.  The following will answer some of the more common questions. We will tailor the event to host your celebration, or toward meeting educational or experiential requirements for badges or other accreditation.  Please feel free to contact us to discuss your specific needs. 

A deposit of $100 is required to hold the date. The balance will be paid 7 days in advance, or paid in cash the day of the party. 

Horseback Riding Event- we will schedule at least one handler/host per horse hired.

• 1 hour event is $150
  • horseback rides for up to 10 children using 1 horse
• 1 1/2 hour event is $200
  • horseback rides for up to 15 children using 1 horse
• Add riders in excess of the above numbers of guests for $20 per rider
• Additional riding horse may be hired at a cost of $75 per hour
• Additional riding time is prorated at $50 per half hour
• We will be happy to extend your riding time as our schedule allows.
• Please include 1 bag of large carrots for the horses at time of service.

Celebrations - We offer a picnic grove for your use with a gas grill and 3 picnic tables.  The cost is $25 for you to host a 1 hour gathering, weather permitting.  Use of the picnic grove is free with a 2 horse party.

Each rider must have a liability release form signed by their legal guardian or they will not be permitted to ride.

Proper attire is required.  No open toed shoes are permitted around the horses.  Long pants are strongly suggested for all riders, and helmets will be provided.
